My name is Emily Ferencsik, I enjoy making sense of my thoughts and processing them through visuals. Photography has been an outlet for me in terms of expressing myself as well as understanding how I view the world. I am drawn to staged photos with harsh lighting and theatrical portraiture. I also enjoy making candid photos look staged, with strobe lighting or harsh LEDS. While having experience working on sets, I like blending in with the rush of a film set and capturing movie still-type photos of the crew. I draw inspiration from photographers of today and the past who pursue commercial and editorial photography. Heavy on costumes, themes, and makeup, I’m drawn to adding a twist on advertising, as well as tableau.
